We designed everything in the building to match how Sterling did business. The interior layout was determined by how many stylists they had, and how many different stations the stylists would need. We mapped out the sequence of customer flow from station to station.
For the exterior, the client wanted to use reclaimed wood. So we found wood recycled from an old flour mill for their external canopies. This echoed the exposed wood trusses inside the salon. Pseudo-industrial white walls and glass finishes created a sleek modern style.
